Illinois Association of the Deaf (IAD) President Corey Axelrod submitted another letter on behalf of the IAD this morning expressing the grave concerns the IAD has with the cyclical behaviors at the IDHHC resulting in the marginalization of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
In this letter, President Axelrod shares, “the IDHHC must commit itself to make actual systematic changes and ensure that the state of Illinois, non-deaf individuals and service providers, not only hear, but also listen to the needs of the deaf and hard of hearing community you are supposed to serve.”
