Through some casual conversations, some working professionals and friends expressed an interest in reviving the Deaf Professional Lunch Hour downtown Chicago.
The number of working professionals has grown in recent years due to many companies opening offices downtown and employing people with disabilities. Many of us discussed meeting at one of the several food halls that are opening up in the loop once a month on Friday. We plan to host our first get together on February 7th at 12 pm at Revival Food Hall (125 S Clark street, Formerly CPS HQ). The reason we decided upon this location that we all have different tastes in food, and it provides be the best option for the flexibility of our food preference.
We will not require any attendance but just merely a social/networking hour to meet fellow peers. If you cannot make it, do not fret, we hope this will become a monthly event. If there are other deaf individuals that you know of who work downtown or in the Loop within walking distance, please invite them as well. We look forward seeing everyone.
