IAD would like to take the time to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. IAD accomplished a lot in 2019 and we couldn’t have done it without the continuous support from our members.
IAD gained more than 50 members this year! Several successful fundraisers were hosted in order to continue our advocacy work and to provide scholarships for 2020. Countless meetings with legislators and the Governor’s office were held to increase the quality for Deaf + and hard of hearing individuals living in the State of Illinois. IADs 50th Biennial Conference took place in June and our priorities improvised for 2020. IAD had a Board retreat in September to determine how we can collaborate with other organizations in developing a steady rapport and relationship for our future generations to come. IAD’s logo has been revamped and we will be changing IAD’s website eventually.
To kick off 2020 with a bang, please consider joining us for our upcoming board meeting on January 25, 2020 in Downers Grove at AIM-CIL. After the board meeting, the Windy City Bulls Deaf Awareness Night will be taking place and this will be IAD’s first fundraiser of the year. If you are still in the midst of your holiday shopping, purchasing Windy City Bulls tickets would be a great gift to your family, friends and for yourself to enjoy! We hope to reconnect with everyone at the board meeting and at the Windy City Bulls Deaf Awareness night. Thank you for your support and Happy Holidays!
