Chicago Park District kicked off Deaf Awareness Month the right way at the Chicago Cubs game on September 3. Camp Sign Adventures children performed the national anthem in ASL! Check out the story that ABC7 covered on Deaf Awareness and there is a video clip.

Not only is it Deaf Awareness Month, but the month of September also is National Preparedness Month to promote family and community disaster and emergency planning now and throughout the year. For more information, check out Illinois Emergency Management Agency , Ready and National Preparedness Month.
