The Illinois Association for the Deaf (IAD) is providing a legislative training session on January 28th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville Community Center for the Deaf (JCCD) in Jacksonville. The training will provide information on legislation including understanding legislative bills, finding representatives and meeting with legislators as well as community advocacy and collaboration. The training will be free. Food and drinks will be provided during lunch break. RSVP’s need to be sent to Jason Altmann at legislative@iadeaf.org by January 14th.
Another legislative training session will be provided on February 25th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills. The training is also free and food/drinks will be provided. RSVP’s will need to be sent to Jason by February 11th.
